Shanghai Trendy Figurine Exhibition WF Overview:
The Shanghai Wonder Festival (WF) is China's largest and most professional figurine model exhibition. Originally established in 1984 by Japanese model manufacturer Kaiyodo Co., Ltd., it is recognized as the world's premier modeling and figurine event. The exhibition originated from "GENERAL PRODUCTS," a pioneering science fiction store in Osaka that later became GAINAX, the animation studio behind the iconic "Neon Genesis Evangelion."
In 2018, WF successfully launched its first international event outside Japan - Wonder Festival 2018 Shanghai [PreStage]. Manga artist Kosuke Fujishima designed the event's character artwork, incorporating Dragon Boat Festival elements like scented sachets and five-color threads to create a unique local experience.
Since expanding to China, WF has provided a broader platform for figurine enthusiasts and practitioners, growing steadily through community support and encouragement.
