Introduction to Art Basel Hong Kong
Established in 1970, Art Basel Hong Kong aims to connect top galleries and art patrons worldwide, creating a platform for international art exchange.
The exhibition is organized into six diverse sections:
- Art Gatherings
- Gallery Highlights
- Asian Perspectives
- Art Explorations
- Light Reflection
- Curatorial Corners
These sections showcase a wide range of artistic perspectives, including historical materials and works by both established and emerging artists.
The event features 243 top galleries from 40 countries and regions, representing continents including Asia, Europe, North America, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. These galleries present high-quality artworks across various art categories.
Noah Horowitz, CEO of Art Basel, is committed to enhancing the exhibition platform and attracting both established and emerging audiences and artists.
Hong Kong has become Asia's leading region for international galleries, with Central emerging as a prominent art space landmark. The West Kowloon Cultural District includes three major cultural institutions: M+ Museum, Hong Kong Palace Museum, and the Xiqu Centre, transforming Victoria Harbour into an "Art Bay."
